Current Housing

All cottages have a lounge/dining area, kitchen, bathroom and one bedroom. They vary in size, with some being suitable for couples. However, most are occupied by one person. All of the accommodation is single storey, ground floor only. The trustees regularly review the quality of the buildings. For example, many windows and doors have had their double glazing replaced with the most up to date insulation. Residents pay a monthly maintenance charge (which is considerably less than commercial market rent). The only other costs for residents are council tax, gas, electricity and telephone. All units have a small garden area which residents are encouraged to tend. There are also extensive grounds and a millennium garden which residents can enjoy. Future Plans The trustees are currently discussing improvements to the current housing to benefit both existing and new residents.
